Mainstream and CommunicationThe mainstream of a group is generally the majority position and as in a democracy, the majority traditionally rules. Worldwork tries to establish dialogue between majority and minority viewpoints. This includes awareness and inclusion of different styles. For example, if the mainstream communication style is linear and verbal, minority communication styles may be non-linear, or quiet. Each communication style is important. Meta-skillThe feeling attitude with which theory, information and techniques are applied. Worldwork springs from your deepest feelings for the world, and interest and love for other people Noticing what we are experiencing, which feelings are occurring in any given moment and becoming aware of these feelings as they arise inside of us. The term "meta-skills" implies that, in addition to noticing these attitudes, we pick them up and cull their energy, using our feelings and attitudes in the service of the group or client we work with.
