BY CAR:

Porto Heli is about 2 and a 1/2 hours from Athens by car (175km). To get there, take the highway from Athens towards Corinth. Very soon after you cross the Isthmus of Corinth (the Corinth Canal), take exit 10 towards Epidaurus (Epidavros)/ Corinth and then turn left under the bridge towards Epidaurus. From there, follow the signs to Epidaurus (Epidavros)/ Kranidi / Porto Heli (Porto Cheli). This road has tolls. The toll fee from Athens is around 4 Euros and from the airport around 7 Euros.

AKS Hotel and Conference Centre is located on the Porto Heli coastal road, near the mid point of the bay (see google map above).

Note regarding reading road signs:

Most road signs and place names are written in both Greek and Latin alphabet. Yet the names in English may look different than what you would expect because there is not always a direct correspondence between letters of the one alphabet and the other.

For example:

Greek name and spelling: Επίδαυρος

English name and spelling: Epidaurus

Greek to Latin alphabet correspondence: Epidavros

In general, official signs will most likely write the place name using the Greek to Latin correspondence rules. The basic rule to keep in mind is: if it looks like what you are looking for, then it most likely is!
